Elena (Olena) Kroupa was born and raised in c. Lviv, Ukraine and immigrated to Canada in the early ‘90s. She became a member of So-Use Credit Union (now UCU) in 1992 and later worked there as a part-time teller at the Bloor West branch.

Currently, Elena serves as a Director of Information Systems and Technology Solutions at United Way of Greater Toronto. Furthermore, she fulfills the role of the Data Security Officer and oversees IT Operations, Application Development, and Data Warehouse support teams for the organization. Elena has been driving transformational change through complex corporate initiatives for close to two decades across multiple industries, including marketing and advertising, financial services, insurance, and pharmaceutical.

Elena has been an active member of the Ukrainian community in Toronto and Mississauga. She performed in several community concerts and actively supported various Ukrainian projects through Josyf Cardinal Slipyj school and the Ukrainian Heritage School of St. Nicholas Parish. Also, as a strong advocate for social responsibility, she is an active volunteer and supporter of United Way Greater Toronto and the network of agencies.

Elena holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University, an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business, and a Project Management certificate from Ryerson University. She is an active member of the CIO Association of Canada.
